Jennifer M. Powers, Esq.

with distinction in 1992 from the University of Iowa College of

since 1998. Powers has worked extensively with providers

improper discounts, denials and delays. Powers’ efforts have
resulted in millions of dollars in recoveries for healthcare
providers through insurance appeals and negotiation.
Additionally Powers has recouped millions of previously
“written-off” dollars in Silent PPO disputes.
David H. Moon, Esq.
A principal at Powers & Moon, LLC, Moon is a 1996 graduate of
the DePaul University College of Law. He has focused his
practice on health care reimbursement since 1997. Moon has
successfully mediated and arbitrated contentious matters
resulting in significant recoveries for clients. A member of the
Federal Trial Bar, he has supervised litigation in multiple
states and jurisdictions, gaining admission pro hac vice in
several forums. Since entering the field, Moon has personally
recovered millions of dollars for health care providers,
including several million-dollar settlements.

Alisha P. Bhutani, Esq.
Bhutani is a 2003 graduate of the DePaul University College
of Law. At DePaul, Bhutani earned a Certificate in Health Care
Law and served as the Notes and Comments editor of the DePaul
Health Law Journal. Since graduating, Bhutani has focused her
practice on healthcare reimbursement and has recovered
approximately 2.5 million dollars for healthcare providers. Her
recoveries have ranged from complex insurance appeals, full
recoveries after improper COBRA notice, Silent PPOs,
mediation and self-pay litigation.
